All internet resources accessible through the library are provided equally to all users, with the understanding that it is the individual user's responsibility to demonstrate judgment, respect for others, and appropriate conduct while using public library resources and facilities.
Internet computers will not be used by anyone, including minors, for illegal activity, to access illegal materials or to access materials that by local community standards would be obscene. Library employees are authorized to take prompt and appropriate action to enforce the rules of conduct, and/or to prohibit use by persons who fail to comply with the internet Acceptable Use Policy as stated or implied herein. Parents are responsible for their children's use of the library's resources and facilities. Parents who believe that their children cannot responsibly use the library's internet access are requested to monitor their children's internet use.
Disclaimer: The Library Board and staff assume no responsibility whatsoever for use of the internet by library users of any age, including minor children under age 18. Individual users and parents of minor children must accept responsibility for their own use and their children's use of the Internet through the library's connection.
The library supports parents and guardians in their effort to guide their children's access to information. Children who use the Internet unsupervised may be exposed to inappropriate or disturbing information and images. Parents are encouraged to discuss the use of the internet with their children in relation to family values and boundaries, and monitor their children's use of the Internet.
It is against our policy for minors to release personal information. We encourage parents to discuss the dissemination of personal identification information on the internet.

Parental permission required: People below the age of 18 will not be permitted to use the Internet at the library without parental permission, and parental guidance and assistance to young people using the internet in strongly encouraged.
Internet application is required: Library Internet users must be currently registered borrowers.
