  This medical encyclopedia provides information on a variety of illnesses.  It is written in a professional manner, but is easily understood by the layperson.

  The American Medical Association complete medical encyclopedia is written by America's top medical authority.  With more than 5,000 terms and 1,750 illustrations this resource is one of the most comprehensive medical guides available.

  The Oxford Illustrated Companion to Medicine is an excellent guide to a large number of diseases and illnesses.  It is written for the layman and is an easy to understand guide to medical information.
